In minimally invasive surgery (MIS) the ability to clearly and precisely visualize the surgical site is critical. NDS offers the most advanced and comprehensive surgical imaging products that support single or multiple modality imaging while being fully compliant for medical use in surgery. NDS’ imaging systems offer exceptional image quality, clarity, consistency, performance, and ergonomic design. They dominate today’s surgical markets and are considered the industry standard for the digital OR.
NDS pioneered the proprietary core technologies that enable surgical and diagnostic imaging to be viewed on the same high-definition (HD) compliant visualization systems. Advanced Imaging Processing (AIP), Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and related integration technologies allow simultaneous viewing of real-time video, fluoroscopic, ultrasound or vital sign imaging. Additionally, these technologies offer surgeons new capabilities as MIS and diagnostic imaging increasingly converge. AIP and DSP proprietary technologies from NDS encompass:
- Multiple Modality Imaging Processing™ (MMIP) accepts video and/or data from multiple outputs and integrates them into one seamless image for viewing, enabling the physician to view, toggle or swap a live or stored radiological image, locate an abnormality and perform the procedure with the highest level of precision.
- Image-Lag Reduction™ (ILR) incorporates advanced interpolation algorithms to deliver the industry’s fastest video response time with lag-free imaging, greatly enhancing accuracy in surgical navigation.
- Picture-Perfect Technology™ (PPT) eliminates the jagged edges that appear when interlaced video signals are displayed, resulting in the highest image clarity and precise positioning of instrumentation.
NDS' HD multi-modality imaging products are the most advanced surgical visualization systems on the market today. They are the first high-definition (HD) visualization technologies that enable the simultaneous processing of images from different sources - endoscopy, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, vital signs or any other. The image processing, image-lag reduction electronics, and crisp viewing applications provide surgeons with the most comprehensive HD medical imaging systems, designed to meet any clinical application and configuration need.
Benefits:
- Supports a multitude of clinical applications for minimally invasive surgery, endoscopic surgery, interventional procedures
- Simultaneous fluoroscopic and surgical imaging
- Ultrasound; Vital sign imaging
- Radiology/PACS imaging
- Advanced source selection sizing and swapping technologies
- Advanced integration capabilities with Image-Guided Surgical Systems; Robotic-Assisted Surgical Systems; Colonoscopy Systems; Computer-Assisted Surgical Systems; Computer-Based Fluoroscopic Imaging Systems
The Radiance with full multi-modality imaging (MMI) is built with capabilities that allow any two input sources to be viewed simultaneously on the same display in a variety of split-screen or picture-in-picture configurations. It is the first of its kind to support two DVI inputs as well as two HD-SDI inputs, ensuring unprecedented flexibility for HD digital video connectivity, plus protection against technology obsolescence for many years to come. The same content can also be delivered to users outside the OR, including audio. NDSsi’s Full MMI Radiance is compatible with endoscopic cameras, fluoroscopes, ultrasound machines, and other medical imaging systems. Much like NDSsi’s standard Radiance, it features a high level of brightness and contrast, dual IPS color LCD technology, and is equipped with more HD and SD video inputs than any other medical display on the market.
Industry’s largest selection of displays offering Full MMI (Multi-Modality Imaging)
Full MMI Radiance capabilities allow any two input sources to be viewed simultaneously on the same display in a variety of either split-screen or picture-in-picture configurations.
The first medical visualization system to support two DVI inputs as well as two HD-SDI inputs. This ensures unprecedented flexibility for HD digital video connectivity, plus protection against technology obsolescence for many years to come.
Supports a wider range of digital and analog video inputs than most medical displays, including built-in fiber optic DVI and high-resolution Sync-On-Green inputs.
Features a “DICOM” gamma correction setting for viewing PACS images, providing luminance response characteristics similar to that of a DICOM-compliant display.
Proven compatibility with endoscopic cameras, fluoroscopes, ultrasound machines, and other medical imaging systems offered by all of the major manufacturers.
S-232 interface enables full control of all of the display’s functions from a remote touch screen.
